I just got back from a 9 day trip in Italy just yesterday and man did I see the inspiration!!! I had seen so many different statues over there, and many other things of course, that were so inspiring that I couldn't wait to get home and draw, but I still wanted to see more of Italy. This trip was definitely needed for me, now I feel so much better and refreshed about my drawing ideas! In fact one of the first things I did when I got home, besides sleep off the jet-lag, was read vol. 2 of Re: Play (which has been waiting for my attention the whole time I was gone) and drew a picture of my favorite character Rail. Yayness!!! When I color the picture I will surely put it one here! I am so proud of it, except that the Rail in my picture doesn't seem like the Rail in Re: Play at all, because he is almost serene (I think thats what you would have to call it when you see it). Back to the Italy part. I visited Venice, Florence, San Germinano (I don't think I got that right), Florence, Rome, and Pompeii!!! Funny how '!' looks close to "i" Anyways, everywhere I went was so amazing it was overwhelming!!! I wanted to stare at everything that I saw there, but the tour had to go on. I brought home a BUNCH of Bachi (or kiss in Italian) for my family and friends, got some blessed rosaries for my grandmas (saw the Pope from far away by the way), and bought a paper mache mask for myself. You don't really realize how expensive everything is there until you go shopping!!! For instance, one euro is approximately worth 1.6472 dollars I think. Well, its something like that. Anyway, I will see whoever reads these journals later!!! Onward to more drawings and such!!!
